We've had quite a few big things happen around here latley..but this is one of our biggest! I am so proud of this kid! He loved everything about his day, and throughout the next couple of days kept saying I just wish everyday was my baptism day!! He is a huge help to me, and always tries to do the right thing! He is so sweet, and deserved a great day!! Thanks to everybody who came to support him!!

He has always been a mommas boy, but recently found out how cool his dad actually is! I love it!

He was lucky enough to get baptized with his best buddy! These two have been friends forever!

This is my 93 yr old Grandma! She looks so good, and kept saying how she wouldn't miss this day for anything! I was so happy she came!

This is my Aunt Jeannie...Hayden believes that she is his grandma...I dont have the heart to tell him she isn't...he calls her Grandma even! He adores her! She got a special phone call to invite her...and like the great Aunt she is her and her hubby came!!

We are missing a few in this group shot...but I am so grateful for everyone who came!

Hayden choose to go to Brick Oven after...which was great for me...NO clean up!!

I cant believe that my Hayden is 8!! He is such a great kid, and it is so hard having a Birthday so close to Christmas! We tried to celebrate all day...he had to share with the Christmas party, but presents and cake we added too! We love this kid, and all that he is! Happy Birthday bud!

Hayden played flag football again this year! I am so proud of him, cause he really is learning and catching on to what football is all about! Mic helped coach, which is so funny for many reasons, but a little yelling never hurt anyone right? :) Hayden loved that his dad was there, and they actually went undefeated!!!

THE PRINCESS IS 3!!

Our little princess turned 3!! This is actually the first year we even acknowledged her Birthday...last year she got a cupcake like a week later! The year before I am pretty sure we forgot all together!

She is way more girly then I would like, and her party went from a pumpkin painting party, to a "jingabell" (tinkerbell) fairy party! All my nieces around her age came to help celebrate. And her best buddie from next door, who is a boy, was such a good sport, and loved doing some of the girlie things!!

FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL

We had some great first days of school around here!! I think that they were all pretty excited to start...especially Sawyer

Mack knew exactly what he wanted to do when Hayden was gone to school...exactly what we did last year. He had his friends come over and wait till Hayden got home and so they could all hug him! It was so cute! And just look at Haydens face, he secretly loved it too!

Mack will and has always been my "hard" one...he loves school, and loves his teacher...but would just rather hang out then do anything else! We will see what this year brings!

All she has talked about has been school....seriously!! She has carried around her backpack for at least a week...and she tells everybody ( a few times) that she is going to school! She is especially excited that she gets to go school with her cousin Claire....She is not quite 3 but she is potty trained and way to chatty to not go!!

They all talked each other into getting their summer hair cuts! Hence the "buzz boys" we have a few more that we are missing...we hope to convince them to join our gang!!!

Honestly this group is best friends.....the big ones play with the little ones and they all get along so well!! We are so lucky to live so close to so many great friends!!

I love Christmas...everything about it. I started listening to Christmas music the day after Halloween, I pretend to be annoyed when others are about how soon Christmas goes up, but secretly I love it. They had a blast decorating the tree...but after they went to bed I rearranging everything they did...however they have redone it since then 10 times. I cant win. But I don't care...

Ok so I have been meaning to do this post for a while...I am having issues with it. I had an lazy eye, my Mom found it when I was about 4 or 5. I had to be patched, and wear glasses. I still have issues when I think back about that, cause not only did I look ridiculous but they patch your good eye, and expect you to see out of your bad eye....but my bad eye I couldn't see anything out of! Try learning how to read with one eye that doesn't really work...not so much fun! And lets be honest kids are mean, and I got called all sorts of names. Had they caught it earlier they could have corrected it more then they were able to, but at least both my eyes look in the same direction...for that I am grateful!

Moving on...I was getting me eyes checked from a friend of ours, and Sawyer climbed up onto my lap after we were done. He decided to check out her eyes, as long as we were there. So hes checking, and then checking some more, and grabbing different instruments and looking again, I knew that there was a problem. He looks up and says "Well Shelby you passed your lazy eye on to your daughter.." Words that just warmed my heart!

So needless to say she already has glasses, and has to be patched for a few hours a day. I think that all my hatred for my situation is making me feel horrible about the fact that she has to go through the same thing...And the fact that Mic calls her "Corky" for those of you who remember the show, ( a name that now she kinda likes) and I think people treat her a little different like maybe she is "special needs" Sometimes I feel like I do, cause she looks the part! haha

My baby turned 2!!!! I cant believe it. I guess when it is your third child, there are no gifts, or parties, and they dont know the difference! She was pretty stoked about her Elmo cupcake though!

She is the heart of our family. She is quirky and funny, and loves her brothers! She loves Elmo, and pirates right now, and loves to climb up in my salon chair cause she always thinks it is her turn! She loves the song by the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" and can sing a lot of the song, it is hilarious! She also is pretty dang smart, and talks and sings most of the day. It is hard to get her to stop! I love her and just cant get enough of her!

We just had one of the funnest weekends of our life!!! We were lucky enough to be invited to the "Rancho Relaxo" with Mic's closest friends from High School! It was a blast! 16 adults, 20 kids!!!

These guys have been friends forever, and have the stories to prove it.....I am just going to leave it there..ha ha

This place is on 750 acres. The yard is amazing with everything you could possibly want to do. Football, fishing, four-wheeling, swing set, kick ball, Zombie...and to much laughing!!!

Honestly I didn't even see Hayden for two days, all he did was ride the 4 wheeler , and Mack was brave enough to go with him a time or two!

Jeff and Mic put a slip and slide up. It was 10 feet wide, and 100 feet long! It was freezing but most of the kids didn't care, they went anyway! Mack didn't want to go by himself, so he would hop on Mics back and they would go down together.

Mic and Steve thought that this was a brilliant idea....it wasn't!

They didn't even make to the slip-and-slide before they fell!

Mack was a little sad the other day when Hayden got to go buy some sweet stuff with the money from his cookie sale, so we did it again! He was stoked!! He had no clue what he was actually doing, and he and Sawyer ate lots of the cookies, but he too had so much fun! Mics mom and dad came down, and his sister drove from Lehi for Mack to buy some of his cookies! Thanks guys!!!

When your husband is out of a job......you send your kids to work.....

This little cutie wanted to do some sort of a lemonade stand, but instead of lemonade we sold cookies! And they were a hit. It took only about 20 minutes before the cookies were gone! It was a blast! A little Grandpa even stopped and gave him a dollar for 2 cookies...green money...Hayden was in heaven!

In all he made about 6 dollars, and we all had fun in the process.

This year for the 24th my parents had a campout in the back yard! It was a blast! We bar-b-qued, played games, roasted marshmellows, and had our own drive-in movie! Only 1 kid threw up, 1 had an ear ache, and only one went home! Not to shabby for 19 kids!!!!

Between the tent, and the blowup matress, Sawyer thought she was at Disneyland!

Doesn't every Mom look forward to nap time?! Well I do and my kids are pretty good about taking naps. Well I put her down, and after like 30 mins she is still talking and playing, and every once in a while screaming! So I went to check on her, and this is what I found!

She had tried to take off her sundress and it is stuck on her shoulders. Her diaper is off, and she has this thing about wearing Macks clothes so she has some of Macks pajama pants on, and somehow she got them up around her waist!!!

Honestly have I ever mentioned that I am so lucky to live where we live! I LOVE our neighborhood, and am so grateful that our kids have so many close and good friends that live by us!

It is amazing to me how well the all get along. The boys play with the girls, and the older ones will play with the younger ones! It really is a neat experience for us and our kids!

So Hayden played machine pitch baseball this year. It is a league for 7-9 yr olds, (he is only 6) but he was the biggest on his team! He did an amazing job! Their team went 16-2 and went undefeated in the tournament! I am a proud Mama, can you tell!!!

OUR CHRISTMAS MISHAP

OK so I think that enough time has lapsed to share some sad, and embarrassing news! Mic and I last minute decided to have this cute little thing join our family....

It was a Christmas gift for our kids, and trust me the hours of debating back and forth of getting her or not was EXHAUSTING!

Well on a little side note, for any of you who don't already know after I have babies I get instant anxiety! The type where I can hardly sleep, and I go into "crazy" mode.

So we pick her up Christmas Eve night, and instantly I love her. We get everything ready and get into bed, and low and behold INSTANT anxiety! It was honestly like I just had had a new baby! I had instant diarrhea and panic attacks. The next morning, going on about 2 hours of sleep I am exhausted and overwhelmed, but trying to be a good sport we get the kids down the stairs and while they are looking at their Santa gifts under the tree we open the door let her run out! All three of my kids start crying! Not tears of joy, but of panic and fear! None of them would let her touch them! We haven't had the dog out 3 minutes before we had to lock her away to open presents, and I heard over and over Mom don't let that dog back out!

They warmed up to her over that day and the next. But I couldn't talk myself out of this crazy anxiety that I was having. Then Hayden started into asthma attacks, and hives. Add that to my constant panic attacks and that dog had NO chance. Mic swooped her up 2 days after Christmas and returned her to stop the madness at our house!!

I will have to say it is up there with one of my MOST embarrassing moments, and it was hard even though my kids weren't too excited about her, to have to tell them she wasn't staying! Oh well lesson learned...NO dogs for us!

I have had it with these!

We have had the worst luck with ears. Hayden has had 3 set of tubes, more ear infections then I could count, and my sister-in-law wondered why he always looked like he had Top Ramen coming out of his ears! He now has the tubes that have to be surgically removed, and will have them till he is 8!

Mack has had 2 sets of tubes, and instead of his draining, like they are supposed to, they get clogged. Which causes added pain and pressure!

Sawyer has been my healthy one. She has had one ear infection in 16 months, until yesterday. She has 2 whappin ear infections. That is a very Dr.ish term dont you think. That is honestly what he said!

I am done with the oneryness, the Drs., the antibiotics, and the lack of sleep! So anybody needing something to do, let say around 3 am, come on over I am sure we are up!

When we are bored, we have two things that keep us entertained....

These things crack me up! I dont know if I was young again, if I would have enough coordination to actually do these, but the kids in our neighborhood cruise on these bad boys! Literally everybody in the neighborhood has a pair, and it is what they do most days! Hayden is good and fast on these puppys!

Again I am going to talk about the WII! The second best purchase of the year, aside from the Heelys! Honestly our whole family gets involved in playing! Mack can even play some of the games! Anybody else have some great Christmas gifts, that are still giving???!

I am in major trouble! This girl loves shoes! My sister brought over some of her old shoes, and trust me we have tried everyone on...at least ten times! She finds two, brings them over, she walks around then sits down, pulls them off, and then we begin again!

She especially loves the ones that light up! If they are not on her feet, she walks around and bangs them on things, just to see the lights!

GIRL TALK

I tried to tell her these aren't as fun as they look! But she wouldn't believe me!

So for the last week or so, Sawyer keeps getting into my drawers where my tampons are. She must think that they are candy or something, cause she tries to eat them every time. It is driving Mic crazy!!!!

Well today I am working, (doing a men's haircut no less) and Hayden brings Sawyer down the stairs and says in front of my client, "hey Mom Sawyer got into your wrapping paper things again!" Lucky for me he has no clue what they are either! I look at her and she is holding a handful of tampons!!! I was mortified. Luckily my client is pretty laid back and got a good laugh out of it.

Well tonight I am getting the boys ready for bed and Sawyer disappears, and low an behold this is where I find her! But tonight she also found the breast pads! Love her!

So my in-laws are all VERY creative, and most of them are very competitive (mainly just my husband!). Last year my brother-in-law, came up with a gingerbread competition. There are many guidelines you have to follow, like it has to be 90% edible, had to be mostly gingerbread, and all your family has to participate! This year we had a theme, it was Historical or National monuments!

And if you cant guess we rocked!!! Actually we came in second behind the Colosseum in Rome which also rocked. Old Faithful, the Salt Flats, the Alamo, and the Spinx, were the other cool ones that were there!

But my personal opinion is nothing beats Rainbow Bridge in Lake Powell!

Today is Hayden's Birthday! He has been so excited for this day to come, we have been counting down the days! Here are 20 reasons why I love this kid!

#1 he is my oldest

#2 he makes me laugh

#3 he can make me cry by being so frustrating at times!

#4 he loves his little sister

#5 he LOVES to fight with Mack, and most of the time he loses

#6 he is a lover not a fighter

#7 he loves to be going and going, and that usually starts before 7 AM around here!

#8 he loves costumes! The other day he saw an Elvis impersonator, and thought he needed an Elvis costume!

#9 he loves to jump on the tramp, and wonders why everyone in the world doesn't have a tramp...us included!

#10 he loves playing catch with his Dad and it doesn't always have to be a ball

#11 he also loves to wrestle his Dad

#12 he had the worst ears ever, and has costs us tons of money on Doctors visits, and 3 sets of tubes

#13 he considers new underwear a big gift

#14 he is usually easily satisfied

#15 he LOVES to eat (just look at the kid!)

#16 he LOVES his cousins and thinks of them as his best friends!

#17 he thinks that he has a girlfriend, and sometimes it is me, and sometimes it is a girl named Lily!

#18 he is one of the goofiest kids around! He loves to dance and sing, usually in his underwear!

#19 I love that in the summer you could mistake him for a California beach bum! He only wears shorts, and loves to swim. The kid is a serious fish!

And finally #20 he is sensitive to the Spirit of our Heavenly Father. And often amazes me with the things he knows about the Gospel without being taught!

OK so we braved the cold, and the crowds and went up to Temple Square last night. I have never taken my kids there before. Honestly it was one of the best nights we have had in a long time. My kids were in awe of the Temple! We left with Mack asking if we could go to the Temple again tomorrow, and Hayden was in tears, because he loves Jesus, and wants to live with him again.! We all felt the Spirit, and felt the true meaning of Christmas!

She loved the lights, and had this smile on practically the whole night!

Mic's Parents just got home from serving a mission in Silver City New Mexico! We are so proud and happy that they are home! Well most of us are. Mack wants nothing to do with them! Especially with Judd. He is fine with Grama but THAT GUY ( he wont even call him grandpa!) is not who he wants to be with! You wont see any pictures of Mack going in for any hugs! They got out of the car and he went and hid. He couldn't figure out what we were all doing! If it wasn't for Angie( Mic's awesome sister, and Mack's preschool teacher), I'm not sure I could even get him to go back over to their house!

Before they got home some of us went and did a little home makeover on a few of their rooms, so the bottom pictures are of them seeing their house for the first time!

ST. GEORGE 1

OK so this summer we have gone to St. George a couple of times. The first time we went with just our family, and the second time, my parents and Brady and his boys came with us!! It was a blast. All we did was sit by the pool and swim! This house was amazing. None of the pictures I took did this house justice. We were really lucky to be able to stay there! Everyday we got to wake up and look out the window at this!
The kids couldn't get enough of their Grandma and Grandpa!

These boys were entertained the entire time! And they loves climbing on top of this mountain!

Ty is just one of the big boys now! And he showed them by climbing to the top and setting up camp!

This is Hayden jumping off the waterfall! We literally had to drag the kids out of the pool at night! They never got tired of swimming and climbing, and jumping off!

Honestly I would have to rate these trips to St. George in my top 5 fav trips. My kids were amazing, (until Mack got sick) and we really bonded as a family! Now every time we get in the car Mack asks if we are going swimin in St. George!

Today I deserve the "Mother of the Year" title. Our Church starts at 9 am. Not that I am proud of this fact, but since Sawyer was born, our attendance to Sacrament meeting has been few and far between. Today we were going to make it. The boys were dressed at about 7:45 I was trying to get Sawyer to nap early, and then get myself ready. Once again the time flew before me and Church started. So now Mic and I are taking our time getting ready. Hayden and Mack are downstairs watching T.V. waiting for us......or so that is what I thought!
At about 9:30 or so, Hayden comes running upstairs to tell me that Mack went to church with Mr. Fuller (he doesn't get the Brother, Sister part yet), and Kampy (our across the street neighbors). I ask him how and why Mack went to church with them. He calmly tells me because they just brought him home!
First of all I didn't even know he was missing, second of all, he was where?
So Mic gets the rest of the story from the neighbors. He somehow makes it from our house to the church. Not a far distance, but there is a road to cross, and lets be honest stranger danger. He is now wondering the church, some Lady picks him up walks him into the front of Sacrament meeting, and is asking Mack if he sees his Mommy. Which of course he doesn't because we are all at home! So a combined effort between the Fullers, and my sister-in-law, Anne, they knew that Mack made it there with no help from us,(Anne knew right off something wasn't right, just by looking at the condition his hair was in) and they safely delivered him home!
Why in the world he would walk to church without us I will never know, and that he had no fear in crossing the street is totally terrifying!
So once again thanks to Mack for the really great lesson in how great of a mother I am! Thanks to all who helped in returning the child that I didn't even know was gone!

I am in to nursing my babies, and I try to go as long as they will, meaning, hopefully at least a year, NO longer! Sunday was a "free day" for us (my family will understand!) So we took the kids up the canyon to just play around. It was so fun, they were like kids in a candy shop. Everything was so exciting to them. The river, the beaver pond, Bridalveil falls, and we even saw a dead raccoon that they thought was the greatest thing ever. It was really a great day to spend with them, and see how much they loved being outdoors!

APRIL EVENTS

So I have neglected to post a few of the things that happened this month. First of all I had my 8th anniversary. I cant believe that I have been married that long! I love Mic! There are many reasons that I love him too many to share, but I am so grateful each day that I get to be with him!

Second, I actually turned 30. I cant believe it! I don't think that I really had a hard time turning 30 until yesterday, and I noticed that I had a gray eyebrow hair. I know that it is not that big of a deal, but I guess it showed me how old I really am!

So I definitely don't have a great picture of me or Mic that I want to share, so I will put on of someone who always looks cute. Jana took these, and gave it to me for my birthday!

OK so I had the best week of my life. My Mom, Anne, Lacy and Izzy. Jana, and Me and Sawyer, spent the week in Monterey California! We were right on Pebble Beach Golf Course. So it has been so nice outside, and I am so excited! Today Mack wanted to learn how to drive our jeep. Hayden has been learning to roller blade, and was brave enough to do it outside. After a while they decided to put the two together. Mack doesn't know how to steer the jeep yet, but he wants to go fast, and doesn't want me to help at all. Hayden doesn't care if Mack just goes in circles as long as he pulls him along for the ride! A couple of times Mack took off without Hayden, and they both laughed and laughed trying to catch the other one! I am pretty sure Hayden just figured out what little brothers are good for!

THE RUNAWAY

So one of my worst moments happened with Hayden tonight. He got home from school today, and immediately went outside to play with friends! I saw them riding bikes, jumping on the tramp, and just running around. He ended up over at Garrett and Anne's house, and they invited him for dinner, and let him play for quite a while. So I finally called to have them send him home. He got home, we were getting ready for bed, and then he said it.
"I hate this house Mom, and I like it over at Garrett and Anne's more!"
To this I am completely surprised and I ask him, " Would you rather go live over there?" And his answer was yes!!!
So I tell him that he wont be able to see us anymore, or see his baby sister,..... he just looks at me and says OK. I tell him he wont be able to play with his toys,...... and he tells me he'll just play with Drew's toys. I tell him that I will be really sad, and that I would miss him too much, .....and he tells me that I could come over to visit him over at their house.
At this point I am starting to get my feelings hurt, so I said if you want to go, you can go. He didn't even have his PJ pants on yet, just his shirt, he grabbed his blankee, and off he went!
Luckily we live so close to Garrett's that he was safe to walk over there. So I called Anne to pre-warn her what was up.
He called me a few minutes after getting there, and I pretended that I was crying. I told him that I wanted him to come home, and that Heavenly Father and Jesus wanted him to be my son, and for me to take care of him, so he better come live with me again. To this he says "Well, I think I am going to stay here!" So instead of counting to ten, I told him Mic was on his way to pick him up and that I was going to wash his mouth out with soap! (What that would accomplish I don't know, but it made me feel better!)
So he came home, and apologized for leaving and said he loved me, but I'm not sure if it was fear, or something else! I know he was just frustrated, and tired from a long day, but my heart hurts just a little! Obviously he needs a little more attention from us! What do you think?!

So we finally had our first real break...He, who will not be named, or at least we will call him Kayden for this post, accidentally fell on top of his brother while chasing me, so I guess I am some what to blame! It is broken in two different spots on his hand.

Just a little update, found out that it was 3 bones, not two, and they asked if we wanted another x-ray to make sure there weren't any more! Really who is counting at this point. It is bad enough knowing that there are 3, I don't think I need to know about anymore!!!!

OK so I DON'T have ANY REGRETS! But I am feeling a little something...I just don't know what. Before I even knew I was having a girl, I knew that I was going to pierce her ears! Why, I knew that, I have NO idea. So after I had Sawyer, I kept debating when would be the best time. In my family we had to wait till we were 8. I know other families that had to wait till they were 18! When is a good time, who knows, but I guess I decided that tonight was the time!

But here's the thing, I think I had one of those experiences that you wonder why you're even trying to do the thing that you are doing. I think I had 5 obstacles to try to defer me, but I just kept pushing. I just didn't listen to that little thought that said Not Now.

#1. It costs about 30 bucks nowadays to get your ear pierced.(I remember piercing mine for about 10!) I didn't want to spend that much, but there was nowhere cheaper.

#2. I didn't have my license with me, and they need the number on your ID to do it(Mic didn't have his either.) So we finished walking the mall, and went out to our car, that was parked clear on the other side. Got our kids in their seats, started driving away, and Mic said if you really want to I will drop you back off. So I grabbed my Id, and Hayden and I ran in.

#3. They couldn't get the pen mark to where I thought that they were even, 10 mins. later, I finally thought they got it right. So now we are waiting for the other girl to come and help, and the guilt set in. I thought to myself, should I really do this?

#4. Right before they are going to click the gun, one of the girls drops the earring out of the gun, and has to reload it.

#5. They pierce her ears, she is already crying because you have to hold them so tight, so they don't move, and I hear Oh No! The package on the actual earring was mislabeled. And she was in a hurry because the other girl was waiting for her so she didn't check to make sure she had the right earring. So they pierced her ears with two different earrings! The girl kind of looked at me like "OK what should we do?!" I thought "how the hell am I supposed to know, what should you do!?"

Anyway they hurried and took out the wrong earring, waited a minute, and re pierced her ear! Great as if its not bad enough the first time, lets redo it! That is just what I want for my 5 month old!

Needless to say, maybe tonight wasn't the night. I have NO regrets that I did it this young, maybe just not on this night. I was just Vain---Vain---Vain!!! But I do have to admit, I LOVE them, and she looks really CUTE!

I'll learn..................eventually!

A MACK-IN-THE-BOX

My kids DO NOT play with toys. I have no guilt saying no to them about wanting to buy a toy, because for us it is a serious waste of money! This box entertained Mack for hours, so I guess our vacuum was one of the best purchases we could have made!!

I love my kids and their personalities! It is always an adventure to see what their creativity and their little minds will come up with next!

OK so I have been waiting to do this post. I am not sure why, I guess so I could get my emotions under control, and so I would know what to say. Neither of which I have done yet.
My sister-in-law told me this story of her cousins little boy . It is really a heart wrenching, sad, horrible situation, but at the same time a really amazing, uplifting, spiritual, story that has really taught me what a precious gift life really is! Not that I needed or wanted a reminder, after seeing Jeremy and Amanda, and their sweet little Payton.
Charlie is a 9 month old little boy who got meningitis. He got his immunizations for it, but got it anyway. This little boy has been the rounds with this sickness. From seizures to what they call storming, but is still fighting. His parents whom I have never met, are amazing. I'm sure they have their moments, but they are strong, faithful people, who throughout it all haven't lost their sense of humor. Most of the time I read their blog laughing and crying at the same time!
Honestly this has affected me in ways I cant even describe. The out pour of love and support they have received from people, perfect strangers is absolutely unheard of. In the 3 or so weeks that they have been there, this blog has had over 24,000 hits. People from all over the United States are watching and cheering for this family, and especially this little boy Charlie.

So I sent Hayden upstairs to calm Sawyer down, so I could finish dinner. Mack soon disappeared, and I could hear lots and lots of giggling. When I got up there I could hear Hayden yelling at Mack to duck. This is what I found. I'm just surprized that the crib didn't break, or that her head was still in one peice. Because the reason they were giggling was Mack was jumping up and down, making her bounce and they laughed, and laughed!

SNOW BOYS

It was dress up day at my house the other day, and I had no energy to fight them on what they wanted to wear. So I let them go choose whatever costume they wanted and we headed out the door! So we went shopping, once again I was the Mom that everybody is looking at wondering why she cant get it together. When we got home Haydens friend Isaac came over and they all played in the snow. It was a sight to see.
Mack had on siderman, and the spiderman mask, but he had on Sawyers little gloves. You know the ones that are still attached. And they were wrapped around the back of his neck.
Hayden had his vampire costume, with Mics ski mask, and spidermans gloves.
Isaac had on Mics ski gloves, and Hayden swimming goggles!
They were so funny, and it entertained them for about 2 hours!
I am loving the snow right now, because I think my kids have figured out how fun it actually is!

ARE SUNDAYS REALLY WORTH IT!

So today we went to Mic's brothers church because they were blessing their baby. Latley if we want to be on time for church we literally start getting ready hours before! Their church started at 11:00 so at about 9 I was getting the boys dressed, and even doing thier hair, hoping that it will stay done so that we look part way put together. I finished with them and started working on myself. Meanwhile Sawyer wakes up so now I am working on her, getting her fed, and dressed, hoping that she wont barf on whatever cute outfit I have tried to dress her in. Now I'm running back to my room to finish with getting ready. WOW, time has flown, its now 10:30, and we have to go because of the snow dump we received! I'm yelling at Mic to throw whatever MIGHT keep the boys entertained while we are sitting there, and we are running out the door!

Phew, we make it there on time, YEA US! Knowing my kids really well, I try not to sit too close to any cousins or else we are going to play musical chairs the whole meeting, or be putting out fights because they want the toys that their cousins have, or vise versa.

Ok meeting starts, they haven't even said the opening prayer yet, and instantly Sawyer is fussy wanting something, is she hungry, tired, or just wants the boys to stop touching her, your guess is as good as mine. So I stand up with her right by where we are sitting. Now this stops her from fussing, but it gives the boys a green light for them to either stand next to me, or just walk around.

Now the opening prayer, made it that far before Hayden has to go to the bathroom. Really do you have to go now, we left home 20 mins ago, you couldn't have gone then? But secretly Mic and I think he loves to SEE and PEE in each bathroom where ever we are just for the fun of it.Meanwhile Mack has loudly pushed a chair next to me to stand on so he can turn the lights on and off.

Now its time for the blessing Mic gets up to walk up to the front, and this gives the boys permission to bounce off the walls! Literally! I have Sawyer in one arm and Im wrestling Mack to stop him from running into the wall-again.
Blessing over, Hayden still has to pee so Mic walks back to take him out and Mack goes running after them. I dont know if Mack found them or now is running the halls who cares at this point, as long as I have one MINUTE to myself I'll worry about Mack later. They start passing the bread, in walk the boys and they sit down. Once they realize the bread has already been passed us the melt down happens. Now my 5 r. old is crying because he didn't get a peice of bread. Its ok Hayden we will take it next sacrament meeting we are at. Not the point for him, he's hungry NOW, and is mad that he missed the bread. Now seriously Im trying to have a conversation with this kid how one little, tiny peice of bread is not going to fill him up, and we can eat when we get home! Not what he wants to hear, but when he's being threatened that I'll flip his face if he doesn't stop crying, he chooses to wipe the tears and wait for the water.

Sawyer now is demanding to be fed. I cant leave Mic with these two the way they are, so I shuffle my seat into the very corner and start nursing her. Not the most ideal place. But at this point what am I going to do! I'm trying to be very descrete, but very hard when the two year old is trying either to pull the blanket off, or bounce on my leg. And every time I try to stop him he tries to either stick his tongue out at me, or pretend to spit at me! SWEET huh, its his new thing, so I keep flicking his face which is just making him more and more mad, and thus just encouraging him to keep doing it.

Not only am I dealing with him, but I chose to not wear the most ideal nursing attire either, and my skirt is up under my boobs, and my shade shirt is a little tight and its rolling up, exposing anything that is not under the blanket, the same blanket Mack wants to rip off!

Finish feeding her put my clothes HALF way back on and now the boys are fighting over the cookies we brought for them. We filled the bag 3/4 of the way full, there is plenty for both of them, but they each want to hold the bag. I rip it out of their hands, and now Im the bag holder. Not a bad job, just now I have no chance of them leaving my side!

Content for the first time since the meeting has started. Ok I might actually get to hear something that someone is saying. This peace lasts for just a little while until Mack finds a marker on the floor and is trying to get to the guys scriptures in front of us so he can go WILD and create a great master peice of art. Never mind that we brought our own crayons and coloring books, he is determined to write all over the guys books. Mic is wrestling him, while Hayden is hysterically laughing at the fact that Mack is throwing a fit, and getting in trouble!

I look over at Mic and ask if we should just leave. He looks at me as says "YA THINK????"

Since having Sawyer, sacrament meetings havent been well attended by us. Its NO wonder why! I think that today I felt like I had 6 kids. I was sweating and swearing, if I can be honest, and hoping nobody could hear me!

One day we will be that perfect little family, that all sits there quietly listening and loving just being there. But for now we will be the ones everyone knows as "THOSE KIDS" the ones that the parents cant keep quiet!!!

Kangaroo Zoo

Ok so we went to Kangaroo Zoo today for our friends little boys 1st Birthday! Our kids had a blast (so did every other kid in Utah county!) As you can see even Mic joined the fun. It is such a fun place to go, especially if you're like us and are feeling extremely cooped up. Word to the wise, DON'T go on a Saturday!Mack couldn't wait to get off. He likes to climb up then just sit there. Hes not fond of going down the slides!

So I'm getting ready today, and all I can hear is Mack giggling. I know that, that sound can only mean one thing coming from Mack...trouble. I went to check out what he was doing, and this is what I found. He has this major fascination with spiderman. If you ask him his name most of the time he'll say ...umm... spiderman. I guess hes hoping that she'll have the same fascination. He would leave it on till she started to fuss, then yank it off and laugh and laugh.

BROTHERS

When I was growing up my little sister and I would have sleepovers with each other. Basically this meant that one of us would sleep in the others bed with them. I've tried to convince my kids that this is a fun idea, only because we want them to share a room. So we always try to get Mack to sleep in Haydens room because he has a queen size bed. But after putting Mack back in Haydens room least 5 times he eventually will climb in his own bed and finally go to sleep. We tried again last night and he actually fell asleep in there. When I went to check on them before I went to bed I noticed that they had fallen asleep with their arms interlocked. Its so nice to see a real peaceful moment between them!

Just Venting

Ok so growing up, I did alot, I mean alot of babysitting. My senior year of High School I nannied for a lady who did hair, and I went to her house everyday, for many of hours. I LOVED babysitting, especially for certain families around the neighborhood. Now I'm not that old but I remember getting payed next to nothing to babysit. One lady paid me about 1.50 per child, so after babysitting for like 6 hours I made about 10 bucks. Cheap?! Very! But nowadays that would not fly.

One of the mistakes I've made as a Mom(one of the many mistakes I've made), is not establishing a relationship with any of the young girls in our neighborhood. I generally dont like to put people out, and that is exactly how I feel when I call someone to tend for us. Now I know that it could be that our kids are a little crazy, and girls dont want to tend them, or it could be that kids get what they want anyway so why have to earn money. Oh well, I have to take and equity line out on my house just to be able to afford to pay them anyway!
My second gripe is I dont expect that they should clean my house. I just dont want to come home to a disaster! Maybe they could just clean up the mess that they made. One of the times I left my kids I swear to you they must have had a food fight, and every toy was out. She had put Mack to bed with a poopy diaper, and didn't put his jammies on, she left him in his denim jeans!
Is it just me or am I asking to much. I guess I feel like I tried just a little harder to please! I dont mean to be rude but I would love to feel like I could call someone, and know that that not only will my house stay intack, but my kids will be well taken care off. Oh wait and that they would appreciate the 5 or so dollars that I pay them!

We had a great day today! We blessed Sawyer and Im sure she wondered what the heck was going on, because she screamed the entire blessing. Oh well it was worth it! Its funny that it only takes little reminders to help us realize how special kids really are! I know how blessed I really am to have 3 great kids!

Ok so Hayden is going to be 5 tomorrow. I cant believe that I have a 5 yr old. Im feeling kind of bad because I just didn't have it in me to have a party, especially this year. He is a little devastated because he thought he was going to have a "NAKED PARTY" Now that might sound weird to some people, but if you know Hayden, he hates clothes, and if he could wear his undies everywhere he went he would! He even thought it through enough that Mack and Sawyer would have to wear their diapers, and that I could wear a swimming suit( I dont know what he thought Mic was going to wear) Im not sure what we were going to do at our NAKED PARTY but whatever it was it was going to be a blast! I love you Hayden and I hope you have a great birthday!!!!!

Ok so dont get me wrong I LOVE my boys, but I just cant get enough of Sawyer right now. I've never been one to dress in style, but to dress her up is the best!
